Trains, Planes and Automobiles!
June 2018
Dear Friends,
Summer is here an I find myself embarking on a series of adventures which will include traveling all over the place by a variety of methods. I’ll spend half of this month unplugging in my favorite part of the world, Klamath, CA. I’ll be off line and immersed in activities like bike riding, hiking, fishing, putting up jam, smoking fish and playing rummy cube with my friends! Upon my return I’ll be making final preparations for the American Conference of Cantor’s Conference in Dallas, TX where I’ll be debuting my newest song: In Your Loving Arms. (watch the video of the chorus up top!) This song was commissioned by the ACC for a workshop entitled “A Beautiful Mind” for which I recorded a series of videos which document my song writing process. I’ll post the song after it’s debut! Almost immediately after my return from Dallas I’ll be heading up to Amherst MASS where the 2018 Aleph KALLAH will begin on July 2. I’m teaching Yoga Shalom, performing as well as coordinating the evening programming for Aleph KALLAH. It has been an incredible opportunity to work with amazing artists and performers who are lending their spirits and their artistry to this years Evening Concert Programming.
Go to https://aleph.org/kallah to learn more all the wonderful learning opportunities that exist including evening concert tickets!
Then it will be time to experience the biggest adventure of all, beginning my tenure as the Religious Leader of Seaside Jewish Community in Rehoboth, DE! What a blessing to be part of the warmest, friendlies and most welcoming congregation in the country!
I’ll be traveling by plane, by train and by automobile to reach all of these wonderful destinations and in the process, I’ll have some time to write, meditate, exercise, learn, teach and most importantly connect with many of the special people in my life who recharge my batteries and fill up my soul. My prayer for all of us this month is that we ALL get some time to engage in the things that bring us happiness and inner peace.
Namaste,
Lisa
